The faculty of humanities is one of the oldest faculty at DMPG College and started its journey with the inception of the college in 2003 consisting of Ancient History, Education, Economics, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Home Science, Psychology, and Sociology as a subject. Bachelor of Library and Information Science, B.A.(Honours) Mass Communication and Bachelor of Music were added later on. Currently, the Faculty of Humanities has been acting as an integrated unit that provides a strong and dynamic teaching environment to its students. The faculty offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in different subjects. In addition, the faculty also runs skill development-based classes in the field of Home Science along with spoken English. From time to time, each Department conducts various Conferences, Seminars, Workshop, Cultural events, and Guest lectures to motivate the students and helps in their career development.

The faculty runs with the vision of imparting an intensive understanding of various aspects of life and promoting a value-based education system to investigate what makes us human through the study of humanities, languages, social science, and other disciplines, and integrating the subjects with contemporary realities.

SCOPE

The humanities and social sciences are the learning of human activities and relations in cultural, social, environmental, political, and economic circumstances. With the study of Humanities and Social Sciences, the students will develop the ability to question, solve problems, think critically, make decisions, communicate effectively, and adapt to modification. Responding and thinking about the issues requires understanding the critical historical, political, geographical, societal, and economic factors involved, and how these different elements interconnect.

The Humanities subjects offer a broad appreciation of the planet in which we survive as well as how people can participate as active and informed citizens with high-level skills needed for the modern era. About the Department

The Department of Hindi of Dhirendra Mahila PG College was established in 2003. It initially started as a department teaching Hindi as a paper has evolved into a vibrant and dynamic academic unit to provide specific in Master level. The Hindi Department at our college continues to uphold its commitment to imparting comprehensive knowledge of Hindi language, literature, and culture while promoting and fostering a deep appreciation for the rich literary heritage of the language. Preface

The department of Sociology established in 2003 right from the inception of College. The College runs B.A. & M.A. program affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. The Department of SOCIOLOGY is one of the active Departments in the college. Our credit that many student enrolled for post graduation in the Sociology. The department regularly organizes various extra-curriculum activities such as group discussion, power pint presentation, guest lecture and field tour. The department strives hard to motivate students for various competitive Examinations. The department actively support and enlist the student for there all round development. Day by day the department is progressing ahead the dynamic faculty member, students and last but not the least the Principal of the College.
