REPORT ON EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO VGC CAMPUS

Participants: B.Sc. 4th Semester Students

On 24th April 2026, students of B.Sc. 4th Semester visited the VGC Campus for an educational field trip aimed at enhancing their practical knowledge of botanical and agricultural sciences.

Key Objectives & Learning Outcomes:

1. Botanical Exploration: Students explored the flora of the Vindhyan region with special focus on identifying and understanding dry-season vegetation.  

2. Sample Collection & Preservation: They were trained in the basics of plant sample collection, documentation, and herbarium preservation techniques for scientific study.  

3. Horticulture & Organic Farming: Faculty at VGC demonstrated basic horticultural practices, organic farming methods, and sustainable cultivation techniques.  

4. Polyhouse Cultivation: Students gained first-hand exposure to polyhouse technology, learning about controlled-environment farming and its role in modern agriculture.  

The visit provided valuable field experience and bridged the gap between classroom learning and practical application. Students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and collected samples under expert guidance.
